Ok, so if you read my last post you were sure to notice my displeasure over a certain class camping trip.     If you have kids in school yourself you would certainly think I overreacted and need to chill since many more time wasting -  I mean community building - opportunities are coming down the pike! And I have been considering my reaction to this whole "going to school" thing: am I overreacting? do I just have a BAD attitude? Am I so engrossed in the fantasy world of homeschooling that I'm out of touch with reality? YES, and yes, and yes. I DO have a bad attitude. Even here in the homeschool - and outschool.  Yes, one of my chicks has flown the coop to private school - to maintain the sanity of all involved. Three were here today for our annual "back to homeschool day" which involves school supplies, new books, pictures and ice cream cones in any one of 24 flavours (the choices today were bubble gum and tiger - and lets not forget chocolate raspberry cheesecake for mom ;)  ) So I actually had to drive up to a building to pick up my own child amidst the first day chaos I have smugly avoided for 8 years. Then over to the overcrowded mall to find THE particular dictionary and thesaurus and not find THE 8.5x11 coil sketchbook or paintbrushes required.   But I can live with this. What really sucked the wind from my sails was short notice of the camping trip for said child's class taking place in two weeks. CAMPING TRIP
